2009 Twin River Industries
Alberta's, some 26,000 elk are found mostly along the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains, right where Twin Rivers Outfitting hunts.
Elk are the most majestic of the deer species, and a very exciting and challenging hunt. If you have ever heard an elk bugle you know what we are talking about and if you haven’t your missing out. In our area we commonly have elk in the 300” plus range.
Twin River Outfitting archery and rifle Elk hunts are conducted using tree stands, stalking and calling during rut.
We hunt in WMU 344 northwest of Hinton Alberta Canada and east of Jasper National Park.
This area is close to the mountains and features lots of coulees and hills which is an ideal habitat for Elk. There is quite a large population of elk in the area and the best part is that you get the rare opportunity to hunt them in the exciting calling season with a rifle or bow. Bow hunting the elk in the early season over water holes and salt licks is also a good way to get a nice bull.

The base camp is a bush tent camp with 12' X 14' outfitter tents featuring, wood floors, carpet, beds, and wood stoves providing a clean dry setting for yourself and your gear. The camp also includes 16' X 16' kitchen and recreation tents along with a separate shower house. Our maximum camp size is 8 hunters. We take great pride in providing you with a comfortable camp and excellent food prepared by our cooks!
For our fall hunts the weather can be quite varied. We generally do not have a lot of rain but occasional showers can be chilly. Clothing is always a question and we suggest bringing clothes which can be layered with a good pair of water proof hiking boots (400-800 gr. Insulation) and a pair of felt lined rubber boots.
Typically we have hunters fly into Edmonton where we can arrange for a vehicular pick up. The drive from Edmonton to our base camp is about 3 hours.
